Welcome to “The CREW”
where God is alive in each one of us!
CREW is for our middle school students (Grades 6-7). We meet on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. On Sunday mornings we meet after worship for both the 9:00 A.M. and 10:30 A.M. services. On Wednesday nights we meet during Family Night Out from 7:00 P.M.-8:30 P.M.
In the CREW the students are learning how to build a relationship with God by studying His Word (the Bible) and making it relate to their lives. Prayer is emphasized along with journaling and memorizing Scripture verses. They are learning to pray for each other, their friends, their families, and those in our congregation, but they are also learning to look at the big picture, see God’s need for people just like them to pray, and therefore pray for people all around the world. Our students are learning to take God everywhere they go in their lives and how to share God with those whom they meet.
These middle-schoolers participate in many different community service projects, such as Salvation Army, Samaritan Purse (Operation Christmas Child), and Angel Food Ministries. The students get to go on a variety of field trips such as Sight and Sound in Lancaster, Acquire the Fire, and local events, to name a few. They have bought toys for the missions in Mexico (some have gone to Mexico!) and for orphans at Christmas; they help our missionaries in Spain and are hoping to adopt an orphan from Haiti. They also get to participate in Youth Sunday and perform skits in the church to share how God is working in their lives.
They are always busy in a fun way!
The Crew is a warm and lively place where God is definitely moving and we can’t wait for your child to join us. We always have room for new friends who share a love for God. We look forward to meeting you, so stop on by when you are at our church.
